3 Years Old!

I had such a great time with this family photographing their 3 year old! Mom and Dad were so worried that she was not looking at the camera and she was behaving like, well, a 3 year old. Let me tell you, this was one of the best behaved 3 year olds I have ever had the pleasure of photographing. She was great and I love her expressions!

I was so glad I finally got a chance to meet this little cutie! Her mom and I were friends in elementary school. She was born early so she was in the hospital for awhile so I was glad to finally meet her. She was not quite sitting up by herself yet so we needed to prop her up and she was so small she still fit in my teacup which I usually use for 3 months old!

Not So Sleepy Baby

Last week I had put out a call for newborns to model for me as I am trying to learn some new poses and wanted to practice without the pressure of an actual session. Melanie graciously called me up and volunteered her daughter. Unfortuatly I really didn’t get to practice what I wanted as she didn’t want to sleep We spent about 3 hours at it and she only slept about 20 minutes! She was not too happy to be posed either. BUT, we did get some great shots for her mom! When she finally fell asleep I went into super fast mode and captured as many photos as I could. Here are some of my favorites!

Looking forward to seeing her and her big sis tomorrow for Easter sessions!

Baby Bentley!

I got to do maternity pictures for this couple in december in the freezing cold and now I finally got to do the newborn photos! Jen is a good friend from way back in elementary school so I agreed to travel to winkler to do their newborn shots. We were wondering if I was going to make it and I was an hour late! The roads were pretty bad and I got detoured twice! But I made it just as Bentley had gone to sleep and it worked out perfectly! Wasn’t long before he was nice and sleepy so we could do all kinds of poses!

This is one of my favorite hats and he looks so peaceful!

I am loving the black and whites from this session!

Another Awesome Cake Smash!

I can’t believe how many cake smashes I have done recently! It is so awesome, I love them! This little girl really got into it We didn’t even get a picture of her with the cake in front of her, she just ripped right into it! I think I will be using this one as a sample in my new studio!

Wedding Post

I was so excited about this wedding that I got to shoot but I only have permission to post pics that don’t show any faces so I can only show a couple. This was a new experience for me as it was an East Indian wedding. I have never been to one nor shot one before. I loved the colors and traditions that are so different from our canadian weddings.

I never realised the henna was so intricate!

Hopefully I get to do more of these weddings and get to share the pictures with you.
